Polyvore Outfit of the Week: A Garden Wedding

A Garden Wedding

What to wear to a garden wedding you may ask? This spring, weddings will start to begin again. Spring is the most popular season for weddings. Many brides opt to have the reception at a garden setting. I would wear a chiffon dress like above. It's dressy but not too dressy. A garden wedding usually is not going to be too formal. Also, with gardens you may not have too much gravel to walk on. Wedges or cute flats will be your best friend! You don't want to fall on the grass from wearing too high of heels!
Spring weddings can be a little chilly. If the party lasts throughout the night, bring a shawl or cropped jacket to keep your arms warm and still look chic. If you live way up north where it's still too cold to bare those legs, pair the dress with opaque tights. Don't wear black opaque tights though! I would look for nude opaque tights.
As for jewelry, don't go all out. I would wear a statement necklace and just add a ring or simple bracelet. Nothing more. Leave the jewelry to the bride! ;)

Remember, this day is for the bride, so remember to not outshine the bride!
